I have been writing for print and online news publications since matriculating from undergraduate school in 2004. My writing has been featured in Insurance and Financial Advisor (IFA), the Chicago Tribune, the Arizona Daily Sun, New York Daily News, AFRO, the Maryland Daily Record as well as radio station websites for 1430 Annapolis, Maryland NPR affiliate WYPR, and WTOP. I have also freelanced and interned for a handful of outlets, notably NOAA News, Princeton University’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (see Arrivals section), Howard University’s The Hilltop, U.S. News & World Report, and Street Sense — a newspaper dedicated to Washington, D.C.’s homeless population.
From 2012 to 2014, I edited supplements for The Star Democrat News, including Chesapeake 360, Chesapeake Mariner and Chesapeake Brides magazines and the annual Waterfowl Festival issue.
I began as Community News Editor for the Central California coast-based Santa Maria Times in February 2014. There, I design pages and edit press releases for the ‘Our Community’ and ‘GO’ page sections.
My online portfolio includes audio slideshows, videos, magazine editing, and other notable clips.
